Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how MindBite ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. We built MindBite with privacy in mind: we do not require an account, we do not run analytics or advertising SDKs, we do not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), we do not engage in tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

1. Information we collect

MindBite collects the minimum information needed to provide the service:

• Locally stored progress. Reading streaks, completed lectures, quiz scores and preferences (selected topics, reminder settings, appearance) are stored only on your device using Apple's on-device database. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to back up your device through iCloud, in which case Apple's standard end-to-end protections apply.
• Subscription data. When you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment and provides us with an anonymous transaction receipt. We use RevenueCat to validate that receipt and determine whether your "MindBite Pro" entitlement is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated user identifier, the App Store transaction identifier, your country code and the price/currency of the subscription. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, Apple ID, IDFA or any other directly identifying information from us.
• Diagnostic data. If you opt in through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics, Apple may share aggregated, anonymous crash reports with us through Apple's standard developer reporting. This is controlled entirely by you and Apple.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, IDFA, browsing activity outside the App, or any other personal data. Because we do not perform tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency, MindBite does not present an ATT prompt.

2. How we use information

• To deliver lectures, quizzes and progress tracking inside the App.
• To verify and restore your active subscription so you can use Premium features across reinstalls and devices that share the same Apple ID.
• To diagnose crashes and improve stability when you have opted in to share diagnostic data with developers through iOS Settings.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, cross-app or cross-site tracking, or any automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Sharing

We share data only with the service providers strictly required to operate the subscription:

• Apple Inc. — processes your payment under the App Store terms and provides anonymous transaction receipts.
• RevenueCat, Inc. — validates the App Store receipt to determine entitlement state. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or analytics platforms. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

Local progress data persists on your device until you delete the App or reset progress in Settings → Account. Subscription receipt data is retained by RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide the service and as required by accounting and tax regulations.

5. Your rights

Because we do not collect directly identifying information, we cannot look up data about you on request. You can:

• Erase all local data by deleting the App or by tapping Reset progress inside the App.
• Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Apple ID Subscriptions.
• Contact RevenueCat directly to exercise rights regarding the receipt data they process on our behalf.
• Contact us at the email below for any other privacy request.

6. Children

MindBite is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not contain ads, third-party tracking, or any in-app purchases other than the optional MindBite Pro subscription, which requires authentication through the parent's Apple ID.

7. Security

Local data is protected by iOS standard data protection. Network requests use TLS. Subscription validation uses Apple-signed receipts.

8. International transfers

RevenueCat and Apple may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the App you consent to this processing. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required.

9. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
